Domek Smolnik

Smolnik is a small village in the municipality of Komańcza, located between the Łupkowa Valley and the Maguryczne peak. The village is very picturesque, peaceful, nestled between hills and not located on the main road, making it an oasis of tranquility to this day. There is a shop (150 m away), a bar, and a shepherd’s hut where you can buy excellent and well-known sheep’s bundz (bunc) and oscypki. It is worth coming here for a longer stay to see the sheep grazing on the surrounding hills, playful puppies of Polish Tatra Sheepdogs learning their future work, foals taking their first awkward steps, and numerous storks flying low – the list goes on. The surrounding forests are abundant in mushrooms and forest fruits.

Smolnik is a great place for relaxation and shorter or longer walks. The rocky banks of the Osława River and convenient access to its vicinity allow you to rest by the sound of the river’s flow, occasionally interrupted by the mooing of cows and barking of dogs. It is an excellent starting point for mountain or bike trips. There is also the possibility of a horse-drawn carriage ride or horseback riding nearby. Close to Smolnik is Zagroda Chryszczata, a place with a unique atmosphere where you can enjoy delicious homemade meals and more.

If you don’t have any vacation plans yet, we warmly invite you to our cottage. The cottage is suitable for a family of 4-5 people, fully equipped, fenced, with a playground for children, a gazebo, and a barbecue area. This cottage is adjacent to our house. We are a family with three school-aged children, so we invite you to join us for a barbecue and fun. Pets are welcome too 😉

If you are interested, we also serve breakfast and dinner made from organic products from our region.

There is also the possibility of organizing a one-day trip to Bratislava (Slovakia) or Hungary and tasting wine from local vineyards.
